McDonald’s to Add New Flavor of Chicken McNuggets to Menu

For the first time since McNuggets were placed on the menu in 1983, McDonald’s will be adding a new flavor when they introduce their Spicy Chicken McNuggets on September 16, for a limited time of course.

It’s no secret that many El Pasoans enjoy their meals better if there’s just that little extra, spicy kick to it.  Whether it includes adding jalapenos to nachos and popcorn at the movie theater or a teenager buying some Flaming Hot Cheetos and then adding a bunch of extra Tabasco sauce to them, there’s something about spicy food that’s great and even exciting.  And those examples are just snacks, that’s not even taking into account all of the amazing Mexican food we are lucky enough to enjoy on a regular basis.

This isn’t the first time that McDonald’s has ventured into spicy territory with their menu, you can currently order a spicy chicken sandwich and a few years back they even had chicken wings on the menu for a while.  Even then, McDonald’s is not the first name that comes to mind when you’re craving something spicy.  Time will tell if this new addition to the menu will turn into a “remember when” item for McDonald’s or if it goes the way of the McRib with tweets and posts of “they’re back” whenever they reappear.

I won’t be the first person in line for spicy nuggets on September 16, but I do anticipate trying them sooner rather than later.
