Malolam Mexican Cantina — Taste of El Paso Preview

Taste of El Paso is November 12th and tickets are selling fast. To get you ready to eat some of the best food in El Paso, we’ll be previewing each of the restaurants and the dish they’ll be serving at the 2014 Taste of El Paso.

Malolam Mexican Cantina is one of three restaurants in the TI:ME building of the Montecillo apartments on North Mesa. They'll be serving two popular dishes from their regular menu for Taste of El Paso.

The first, a coconut shrimp taco. Golden-fried coconut shrimp on a corn tortilla, topped with just a dab of spicy salsa and complemented with a sweet pineapple puree. A crunchy, spicy, sweet treat for any seafood lover.

Their second dish is their famed ribeye milanesa torta. It starts with a freshly baked, homemade bun and a pan fried slice of ribeye steak, then it's topped with lettuce, tomato, mayo, pickled onions, and avocado. It's Mexican comfort food at its best.

Malolam is open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily.
