Documents obtained by the El Paso Times regarding the DWI crash involving two off-duty El Paso Police Department officers featured on the reality TV show Live PD detail the events that led to one officer being arrested and the other being transported to the hospital.

As 93.1 KISS-FM previously reported, Officer Thomas Sneed hit a parked vehicle at around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday March 9. His passenger, Officer Andrea Zendejas, suffered what was reported as minor injuries and was taken to a hospital.

According to the police complaint affidavit reviewed by the Times, Sneed and Zendejas met up at a bar in the Five Points area on Piedras after Sneed’s shift Friday night.

Per the paper, which cites the affidavit, Sneed gave different stories about which bar and the number of drinks he had that night, telling one officer they were at Dewey's Corner Pub and that he drank three shots, but told another officer they went to Duets Karaoke Bar and Grill where he had two beers and two tequila shots.

As to what led to Sneed crashing into the parked car, here’s what the Times wrote:

As they were driving up Piedras, (Sneed's) phone rang and he looked down at it," the document stated. "When (Sneed) looked back up, he saw the car.

Sneed's Dodge Ram 1500 pickup rear-ended a parked Mazda 3 with two men inside. Zendejas hit her head on the windshield, the complaint stated.

93.1 KISS-FM has learned Zendejas was not wearing her seat belt.

Other nuggets culled from the El Paso Times report include:

• Sneed showed visible signs of being intoxicated

• Sneed failed a field sobriety test

• Sneed was arrested at 4:37 a.m., nearly two hours after officers arrived at the scene.

• The results of his breath-alcohol test were "just under" the legal limit of 0.08
