The holiday lights at Ascarate Park will glow again this Christmas season when Lights on the Lake returns to the county park this Saturday, December 1, 2018.

Opening night festivities will include a lighting ceremony, entertainment from various choirs, dance teams and local performers, and a free showing of The Santa Clause.

Not only are all the activities and entertainment free, the county is even going to waive the parking and entrance fee for the evening.

Lights on the Lake gets underway at 4:00 pm with performances by Riverside H.S. Rangerettes, Champion Studio Dancers, and Hornedo Middle school Choir.

The lighting ceremony will follow at 6 p.m. and include the arrival of Santa and his elves on a festively decorated float.

The evening will conclude with a lakeside showing of the Christmas classic The Santa Clause on the largest inflatable screen in El Paso, as well as performances by Burleson Elementary Choir, Henderson Elementary Choir and Cheer team and other local dance teams and artist.
