Life In Bloom: Charming New Flower Shop Opens In Downtown El Paso

A charming new flower shop, Life In Bloom, has opened its doors in the heart of downtown El Paso.

Located across the street from San Jacinto Plaza, inside the Cortez Building, Life In Bloom sits on the corner of Mills and Mesa Street.

A couple of weeks ago, on a lazy Saturday afternoon, after having lunch with a friend, we strolled the downtown area, making a stop inside Life In Bloom. That is where I met Miriam Meneses, a 23-year-old living her dream with a bit of help from her family.

Meneses is a UTEP graduate and former insurance agent who began creating bouquets as a side hustle during the pandemic. Her newfound passion eventually led to her opening her first business.

Miriam gave me a tour and shared how for two years, during the pandemic, she played with different designs inspired by other floral designers on social media until she found her nitch.

While you can relatively walk into any flower shop in town to pick up a bouquet, no one in the city offers Miriam's signature floral bouquets and boxes which can also be kept as a memento.

Miriam's attention to detail is also a plus; her clean and impeccable style shines through, from the waterproof flower wrapping paper and boxes to her labels.

Life in Bloom offers from a single rose bouquet to a box full of over 100 roses to everything in between; no arrangement is too big or too small for Miriam. And delivery is also available anywhere in El Paso, thanks to her parents.

While the shop just opened a couple of months ago, Miriam has big plans for the future; but for now, she is happy she's come this far and is grateful for the opportunity to make her dream a reality and for her parent's unending support.
