Las Palmas Del Sol Emergency Centers To Offer Free Flu Shots On El Paso’s East And West Side On Wednesday

At some point, cold weather and flu season will hit El Paso. Be prepared by getting your flu shot early. Las Palmas Del Sol Healthcare will offer free flu shots at two of their freestanding emergency centers on Wednesday. Flu season officially runs from October through May, but is most active in the months of December, January and February.

If you would like to get a free flu shot, go to the Las Palmas Del Sol Emergency Center on the west side at 1535 N. Resler, or on the east side at 1951 N. Zaragoza tomorrow, Wednesday, November 2, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

El Paso Health Department officials say the flu vaccination is particularly important for pregnant women, young children, older adults and people with chronic health conditions. Those people are more likely to get severe complications from the flu. Officials say everyone six months old and older should get vaccinated to protect themselves from getting the flu.
