Las Cruces Crime Stoppers Offering Reward for Denim Shoplifting Couple

Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that helps identify a couple suspected of shoplifting a large amount of denim from the Sears department store at the Mesilla Valley Mall.

This past Sunday just before 6 p.m., a young man and woman entered the department store, loaded several pair of Levi’s denim jeans into a large duffel bag and then left the store without paying for the merchandise. The couple is suspected of stealing about 30 pair of Levi’s jeans, with an estimated value of $2,000. The couple was last seen leaving the parking lot in a red Volkswagen Jetta. Investigators have reason to believe the couple may reside in Alamogordo, or possibly frequent that city.
