Journey Returning to El Paso Area with Toto to Celebrate 50th Anniversary
When the "Lights" go down at the Pan American Center in Las Cruces early next spring, El Paso-area fans will "Faithfully" welcome one of the most popular rock bands of all time with "Open Arms".
Journey is coming to the Borderland in 2024 for a night filled with all the fist-pumping, cell phone-light-waving radio hits you still know and love, like “Separate Ways,” “Lovin’, Touchin’, Squeezin,’” “Who’s Crying Now,” and, of course, “Don’t Stop Believin”.

Don’t Stop Believin’
A Journey concert wouldn’t be complete without one of the most enduring rock anthems of not just the ‘80s but of all time.
“Don’t Stop Believin’” has become such a part of American culture it has been inducted into the National Recording Registry of the Library of Congress.
Journey's signature song was one of 25 recordings in 2022 deemed “as audio treasures worthy of preservation for all time based on their cultural, historical or aesthetic importance in the nation’s recorded sound heritage.”
Toto Joins the Freedom Tour Trek
These days, the touring lineup for Journey consists of guitarist and original member Neil Schon, keyboardists Jonathan Cain who joined the band in 1980, drummer Deen Castronovo, bassist Todd Jensen, and Arnel Pineda handling vocal duties.
Fun fact: at this point in the band's lifespan the Steve Perry soundalike has been their lead singer longer than the original vocalist.
Joining the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band on their 50th Anniversary Freedom Tour 2024 is Toto, which is nearing its own 50th anniversary. As far as opening bands go, you can't do much better than Toto.
I saw them years ago when they did a show at Cohen Stadium with Yes and it was one hit song after another. “Africa,” “Hold the Line,” “Rosanna,” "I'll Supply the Love," "I Won't Hold You Back"... They do not disappoint.
