Friday, April 19th, representatives from both UTEP and EPCC will be in Iris and Grizz in the Morning to talk about the new FAFSA forms and invite you to an event here in El Paso, TX where you can learn how to fill the forms out with people who know what they're doing!
EPCCs Executive Director of Student Financial Aid, Ines Lopez, as well as UTEPs Lead Financial Aid Advisor, Lisa Ramirez! The two will be talking about an event that will bring both schools together in order to help teach people how to fill out the new Financial aid forms, specifically the new edition of the FAFSA forms that have just been released.
Financial aid is tough to figure out and for a lot of people, navigating the forms can feel like trying to piece together a puzzle. Luckily, EPCC and UTEP are ready to help new and returning students fill them out!

This interactive workshop will offer expert assistance and support in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), a crucial step in accessing financial aid for higher education.
Attendees can expect:
- Step-by-step guidance on completing the FAFSA application
- Information on available financial aid options
- Tips for maximizing financial aid awards and meeting important deadlines
- One-on-one assistance from financial aid experts from EPCC and UTEP
This workshop is open to students, parents, guardians, and educators interested in learning more and applying for financial aid opportunities for college. Participants are encouraged to bring relevant documentation, such as tax returns and income statements, to facilitate the application process.

Participants need the following to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form and should bring the following items to the workshop, if possible. If a participant is unsure about any of these items, information will be provided at the workshop.
- An FSA ID (account username and password) for students and parents to log in to StudentAid.gov and start the FAFSA form electronically
- Your Social Security Number
- Your A-Number (if you're not a U.S. citizen)
- Federal income tax returns (2022), records of child support received; and
- Your current balance of cash, savings, and checking accounts (Note: You must provide consent and approval to disclose your federal tax information to be eligible for federal student aid.)
- Bank statements and records of investments (if applicable), net worth of investments, businesses, and farms
- Records of untaxed income (if applicable)
