In just a few days you’ll have the opportunity of crossing skydiving off the bucket list – well, at least the indoor kind. iFly, the worldwide indoor skydiving venue, will open the doors to its first El Paso location on Tuesday, April 2.

The company’s newest facility is located across from Topgolf at 430 Vin Rambla Drive in the Montecillo community in West El Paso.

iFLY developed the technology for an indoor flight chamber that simulates the feeling of floating on air. So, if you’ve always wanted to fly like an eagle, but felt that leaping out of a perfectly good airplane was an insane thing to do you can now opt for this "incredibly realistic" closer to the ground alternative.

Pricing for first-timer flyers starts at $59.95. That gets you a pre-flight training session, flight gear and two flights in the tunnel. Other packages are available including group flight sessions and a virtual reality package that combines “the fun of flying with the thrill of a simulated skydive out of a plane.”

The El Paso location, the company’s 36th in the U.S. and 7th in Texas, became a reality after El Paso City Council approved a $162,863 incentive agreement in June of 2018 that included an 80% retail sales tax rebate over 3 years as well as a one-time construction materials sales tax rebate and a rebate on certain building and planning fees.
