Kids always want to stay up till the clock strikes twelve, while the parents just want them to go to sleep! Here's a hi-tech way to get the kiddos to bed, long before 2015 starts.

I remember when I was little, begging my parents to let me stay up all the way into the new year. I would want to drink sodas and eat sweets, so the sugar could keep me going all night long. Lucky for my parents, the sugar high wore off by ten and my dad would carry me to bed long before the countdown. Most parents though, try new, creative ways every year to get their kids to go to sleep. A new survey showed that 34% of parents said that they start celebrating early, so that they and the kids can go to bed early. 22% said that they even start their countdown early.

Now Netflix is trying to make this situation easier, with a new, single show starring the amazing King Julien, from the Madagascar movies. King Julien is hosting his own family friendly, kids countdown special. The best part? It will be available to play on demand, whatever time parents need it. The three minute special features high energy music so kids can celebrate and have a good time. The special will be available in in the United States, Canada, Latin America and other select countries. The countdown will be available December 29th on the Netflix website.
