Yes, It’s Hot in El Paso, but in Arizona Street Signs and Mailboxes Are Melting
El Paso has been baking under a string of triple-digit temperatures over the last few weeks, including a record high of 111° on Friday (6/23).
And we’re not done with the heat yet, as another round of consecutive 100 degree days is expected to begin this week. But, it could be worse.
We could be living in Phoenix, Arizona, where it’s been so hot all kinds of inanimate objects have been melting. Like the paint on street signs ...

Even the hearty desert cactus has been feeling the strain of 120° days.
It's so hot in Arizona our cactus melted. It tried to morph into a jumping cholla to dive into the pool. #toohot pic.twitter.com/yFt1HJnyrb

So, yeah, we might live in what some locals affectionately refer to as "Hell Paso," but at least when we say our face is melting it's only metaphorically.
