R.I.P - BOB WELCH: BOB WELCH, who found fame after leaving Fleetwood Mac, took his own life yesterday at his Nashville home. He was 65. A police spokesman told the Associated Press that the singer-songwriter had endured some health problems recently and left a suicide note.

Welch spent three years with Fleetwood Mac, leaving in 1974, just before the arrival of Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. His solo breakthrough came on a remake of "Sentimental Lady," which he'd first recorded in Fleetwood Mac. "Ebony Eyes," "Hot Love, Cold World" and "Precious Love" soon followed.
