Try not to feel all warm and fuzzy and tear up at this video.
The Shook family from Houston, Texas had an emotional evening on Monday when they went to the Bush airport to meet a very special little girl. Six year-old Lucy is a special needs child from China. She was in a Chinese orphanage her entire life. According to Shannon Willis of the Great Wall of China Adoption Agency,

"These are the kids that are unwanted, they are the kids nobody else wants, they've been sitting on lists for their entire life or sitting in an orphanage."

The Great Wall of China Adoptions asks for families in the United States to host a child for four weeks, until they are able to hopefully find their forever homes. Instead of hosting Lucy, the Shook family decided to adopt the little girl.

Audrey Shook and her husband Brent Shook and always wanted to adopt a child from China, ever since they started dating back in high school. But the couple got pregnant and put the idea on hold. Nine years later, the couple saw a video of little Lucy and fell in love. They are now in the process of adopting the little girl, and say they can't wait to have her in their family. The Great Wall of China Adoptions are looking for more families in the Houston area to host orphaned children this fall. You can apply here.

Best of luck to Lucy and her new adoptive family! You can read more on the KHOU website.
