I'm not an outdoorsy gal, so you know if I'm willing to go hang out someplace that is nothing but outdoors, it's gotta be a great place to be. Hueco Tanks is worth the ride, easy to get to, and will take your breath away when you get there. Rocks for climbing, caves for exploring, and this month, a lot of great activities for the whole family.

Remember, this is an outdoor desert area. Take plenty of water, proper clothing (preferably closed-toe shoes), sunscreen, snacks, a cell phone, and enough gas in your car to get you out there and back. It really is a great family outing, so head east to Hueco Tanks this month!

To get to to Hueco Tanks, take Montana Avenue all the way into the Hueco Mountains then turn left on Ranch Road 2775 (where the UFO building is). Follow the road until it ends at the park.
