The annual AskMen “Great Male Survey” -- designed to shed light “on how the modern man thinks and behaves” -- was recently released, and according to one portion of the particularly insightful ‘Dating & Sex’ section most men like to believe they can bring the romance.

“How often do you make an effort to be romantic?”

• 52% -- Somewhat often
• 28% -- Very often
• 18% -- Not very often
• 2% -- Never

"Of the following things, what best motivates you to be romantic?"

• 72% -- Feeling close to my wife or girlfriend
• 20% -- The possibility of sex
• 2% -- It's a good way to apologize
• 1% -- Needing a personal favor
