Get Free Sandbags From El Paso Water Utilities

We're out of the summer monsoon season, but we seem to be hitting a round of fall rain that threatens to flood certain parts of the city.

If you need to prevent rainwater from flooding your home, sandbags are one way to do that. If you don't want to make your own sandbags - and, really, why would you - El Paso Water Utilities is your new best friend.

You can get up to 10 sandbags at the Stormwater Operations Center, 4801 Fred Wilson. Sandbags can be picked up from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Although there are a number of locations that distribute sandbags during the summer months, the Stormwater Operations Center on Fred Wilson is the only place you can pick them up this time of the year.

Remember, sandbags are heavy so if you can't lift the sandbags on your own, you will need to bring someone with you to help you get them in your car.
