El Paso’s music community is full of incredible talent, but few groups embody the soul, spirit, and harmony of the city quite like the PIE Sisters. The four sisters, each gifted with powerhouse vocals and musicianship, are carving out a name as one of the most exciting acts in town. Backed by their immensely talented band, recently nicknamed The Milkshakes, the PIE Sisters have been growing fast in the Sun City and it’s not hard to see why.

From Farmer’s Markets to Festival Stages

The PIE Sisters’ journey began back in 2019 as a lighthearted Instagram project. By early 2021, they were playing live at a downtown farmer’s market, and from there, they never looked back. Since then, they’ve hit major milestones: dropping their first single in 2023, releasing an EP later that year, and steadily performing across El Paso. Their shows have graced both intimate venues and big stages, always bringing their signature R&B harmonies that feel equal parts smooth and electric.

This month, they’ll be taking the stage at Minerpalooza for UTEP’s homecoming weekend, performing as a full unit with all four sisters alongside their band. If you’ve never seen them live, this is the perfect chance to experience why they’ve become one of El Paso’s most talked-about groups.

Jez: Leader, Teacher, Community Builder

At the heart of the group is Jez, the eldest sister and natural leader of the band. When she isn’t fronting the PIE Sisters, she’s lighting up venues across El Paso with The Milkshakes, blending soulful ballads with infectious grooves that get crowds on their feet.

But Jez’s impact goes beyond the stage. She recently joined the legendary Barbed Wire Open Mic series as a host for their new monthly event at Synaxis Coffee, and she also teaches at Roger Argenis’ Soundstage 9, inspiring the next generation of musicians. Through EP Takes The Stage, she helps organize workshops for local singers and songwriters, giving back to the very community that helped raise her.

Music for the Heart

The PIE Sisters aren’t just about performing, they’re about creating music that connects deeply. Their official bio says it best: “We want to make music not just for the ears, but for the heart.” That philosophy runs through every song they write, every harmony they share, and every stage they step onto.

With a growing catalog of music available on streaming platforms and new releases dropping consistently, the sisters are building momentum not just as one of El Paso’s best groups, but as artists who could soon carry the city’s sound far beyond its borders.

So whether you catch them at Minerpalooza, a coffee shop open mic, or on a playlist at home, one thing is certain: the PIE Sisters are the real deal, and El Paso is lucky to call them ours.
