Texas Two Step campaign and the El Paso Fire Department are teaming up once again to offer free CPR lessons this weekend at various El Paso locations.

According to the El Paso Fire Department, heart disease is the number 1 killer of Texans, with four out of five heart attacks happening in the home place. Dialing 9-1-1 is the immediate action that someone should take when an emergency arises however every second counts and if you are properly trained in CPR, you could possibly help save someone’s life until help arrives.

This year the El Paso Fire Department and the Texas Two Step campaign along with 11 Texas medical schools will conduct the training to raise public awareness and help individuals learn hands-only CPR.
