Former New Mexico State University Star Quarterback Found Dead in Texas

Cody Ledbetter, once a starred quarterback for New Mexico State University has been found dead in Texas, he was 42 years old.

Ledbetter was found dead in Aledo, Texas, Saturday morning. According to the county sheriff, he was found dead after an apparent suicide. But an autopsy will be done to make the official ruling on his death.

Ledbetter pleaded guilty in 2005 to having sex with a 16-year-old student in 2004 while he served as an assistant coach at Alvarado High School. Ledbetter played with New Mexico State University from 1991-1995.
