Recently, flash flooding has continued to affect the Rio Ruidoso area, with the potential to impact the Midtown district. As a result, the Ruidoso Office of Emergency Management has issued an immediate evacuation order.

According to local media outlets, the El Paso Fire Department Water Rescue Team has been deployed to assist with the severe flooding.
