Five Injured After Gunfire Erupts During Chris Brown Nightclub Performance
Five people were injured in the early morning hours of Sunday, Jan. 11, as gunfire erupted at a San Jose, Calif, nightclub which was being hosted by Chris Brown.
The San Jose Mercury News reports that local police responded to the shooting, which took place at the Fiesta nightclub at 1:20AM. When the officers arrived, four people were wounded before a fifth victim came forward shortly afterwards.
None of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.
Brown, who was advertised as being a host for the VIP birthday event, was not injured during the shooting. He reportedly tweeted "I'm 100" afterwards as a sign to fans that he was unharmed.
Photos and videos posted on social media show Brown performing on stage before gunfire shots are heard in the background. His security team then swarms the 'Fine China' singer before taking him away to a safer location:
It is still unknown at this point who was responsible for the shooting.
