First Look at La Union Maze 2023 Corn Maze Design
Those looking to get lost among the cornstalks and pick out the perfect pumpkin and at La Union Maze need only wait until the last weekend in September for a “corny” adventure.
Although the popular fall attraction is still a few weeks away from opening, we know what the 12-acre corn field maze looks like this year.
The farm will be going with a corn maze design for 2023 that represents the three states they draw the most visitors from: Texas, New Mexico, and Chihuahua, Mx.

The A-Maze-ing Design
Along with the outline of the state of New Mexico, the maze design also features the Zia sun symbol and a road runner. Texas is represented by a cowboy on horseback roping a Lone Star.
The state of Chihuahua – Juarez in particular -- gets a shoutout in the form of an X, a nod to the giant red X monument near the Bridge of the Americas and the ‘x’ in “Mexico.”
“It is our way of thanking all the thousands of visitors [from this area] that have contributed to our success,” explains owner Lucy Sondgeroth in a press release.
Fall Activities
For those who don’t appreciate a real-life puzzle of twists, turns, and dead ends, La Union also offers a huge pumpkin patch (and a wagon ride to the field) and 17 other activities.
A flower maze, jumping pillows, and cow train rides are some of the activities the kids can have fun doing.
New Payment System This Fall
One new wrinkle to expect this season is a “contactless” cashless payment system.
“We are now a cashless and token-less venue,” reads a note on their website. “To keep payments as contactless as possible, only credit cards or La Union Maze gift cards will be accepted.”
2023 Corn Maze Dates
The farm is currently being prepped for its opening, but count on wandering among the corridors of corn stalks September 23 through November 5, 2023.
