Find Out Why A Mike And Tricia Listener Thinks The Government Is Behind The ‘Storm Area 51′ Event
The super cool 50th anniversary of the moon landing and the first time we put a man on the moon has a lot of people thinking about space, but it also has a lot of people wanting to find out if there really are aliens in the so-called Area 51 in southern Nevada.
A Facebook page popped up a few weeks ago called 'Storm Area 51, They Can't Stop All Of Us', and it says that if enough people show up, some will be able to get into the "secret" base and find the aliens. From their page:
"We will all meet up at the Area 51 Alien Center tourist attraction and coordinate our entry. If we naruto run, we can move faster than their bullets. Lets see them aliens."
If you're wondering what a naruto run is, you should click here to see how really ineffective it is going to be against the Air Force who says you should really stay home and not try to storm Area 51.
The funny thing about this Facebook page is that it was started as a joke. The guy who created the page said he was just kidding about storming the base where the United States government is supposedly hiding aliens, dead and alive, and doing experiments with alien technology. Matty Roberts says that even thought he was joking, he doesn't think the government is laughing because he is getting scared of how "creepy" things have become and he's even scared of the FBI because of his Facebook joke.
The possibility of storming one of the most secure, albeit supposedly non-existent secret military bases, had the interwebs working overtime on memes and gifs. You can check out a ton of them by clicking here.
We talked to a listener who said that he thinks the government is behind this whole 'Storm Area 51' thing. I have to admit, I might have laughed when he gave us his theories, but now they actually seem to make some sense.
Hey. Why is that black SUV pulling into my driveway?
