Las Cruces police are searching for a man who stole bank cards several times and is using them at several fast food places in Las Cruces

Matthew B. Guerra, 19, allegedly stole bank cards in September and has used the cards and is being charged with one count on each of fraudulently signing of a credit card, fraudulent use of a credit card and possession of a stolen credit card. Las Cruces Crime Stoppers are asking for the public’s help in identifying the man who purchased food at the Dairy Queen restaurant, at 2601 N. Main St., using a credit card that had been reported stolen. A surveillance camera at the restaurant captured photos of the suspect in the drive-thru.

 

Detectives learned that the bank card was stolen September 9th when the victim’s car was burglarized. The card was then used the same day at two McDonald’s restaurants, a Taco Bell restaurant and the Dairy Queen. The following day the card was again used at a Wendy’s restaurant, at Taco Bell and McDonald’s.

 

A total of $162.69 in fraudulent charges were made using the card in the two-day spree. If you have any information on the whereabouts of Guerra please call Las Cruces Crime Stoppers at 575-526-8000.
