The coronavirus has changed our lives so much since it hit right before spring break. Schools let out for the break but suddenly we were all locked down and now, months later, so many of us are still working from home with no real timeline for when we will be returning to a normal work schedule at the office.

The El Paso Independent School District is making moves toward getting some of it's employees back to their offices. They announced the Disaster Closure that began in March will end on June 6 and some district employees will now begin to head back to their offices.

EPISD Superintendent Juan Cabrera and his leadership team will have supervisors notify the district employees who will be expected to return. In a press release, the district revealed that they are continuing to prepare for the 2020-21 school year.

The EPISD employees who will be returning to work will have to follow guidelines including:

Maintaining six feet of distance when they are around other employees
Having a face covering with them and wearing it at all times when they are around other employees
Employees will not gather or congregate with each other
Employees will have to contact supervisors if they are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms
If employees are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms they will be required to stay home
If an employee arrives to work with COVID-19 symptoms they will have to be separated from other employees and will be sent home once they have identified any other employees with whom they have come in contact at their workplace
