Here’s When You Can Visit El Paso’s Chamizal National Park During The Holidays
If you've never been to the Chamizal National Memorial you really should. It's a very interesting place to visit and there are a lot of things to do when you go. If you want to take you out-of-town friends and families when they come in for Christmas, you will need to know when you can and can't visit.
CHAMIZAL NATIONAL MEMORIAL CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR'S HOLIDAY HOURS
The Chamizal National Memorial will be closed on Christmas and New Year’s Day like most other public spaces. the roads, trails, and facilities will be closed to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic. The good news is that the Visitor Center and Park Store will be open until 5 p.m. on the day before Christmas Day and New Year's Day and reopen at 10 a.m. the day after each of the holidays. The Memorial grounds will close at 10 p.m. before to the holiday and reopen at 7 a.m. the next morning.
CHAMIZAL NATIONAL MEMORIAL PROTOCOLS
As with all National Park Service locations, you will have to wear a mask in the Chamizal buildings and in crowded outdoor spaces as well. Your vaccination status won't let you go unmasked at the Chamizal. For questions or more information about the mask policy you can call the park at (915) 532-7273.
WHAT TO DO AT THE CHAMIZAL NAITONAL MEMORIAL
The exhibit in the Cultural Center is new and has multimedia presentations, listening stations, an historic objects. The center is presented in Spanish and English. there are a number of other things to do at the Chamizal.

2. Use the trails to take a walk, walk your dog, or ride bikes
3. Enjoy a picnic lunch or even grill out
4. Take a self-guided tour which you can get from the visitor information desk in the Cultural Center
5. Relax on one of the many park benches and contemplate the view
