El Paso’s Carnival Themed Diner & Attraction To Open This Weekend
This weekend, discover one of the Sun City's best-hidden gems, Wrap & Roll, a 1940s carnival-themed diner featuring old-school memorabilia and a vintage game room.
Last month, I had the opportunity to check out Wrap & Roll during one of Monteleone's Haunted Motel & Restaurant performances and had to share one of the most fantastic spots in El Paso.
For a little over a decade, Monteleone's Wrap and Roll, a carnival-themed diner and attraction made up of parts of a once traveling 1940s carnival, has been serving delicious eats and thrilling El Pasoans with its unique, eclectic vibe.
The carnival-themed lot packs a ton into one fun space with old-school memorabilia, a vintage game room with a life-size animatronic clown, and a funhouse mirror to a retrofitted trailer featuring roller coaster seating in the main dining area.
Visitors will find classic pieces such as one of the logs from the Knott's Berry Farm water log ride dating back to the 70s. Other curiosities include a purple hippo and an original teacup from Western Playland before the amusement park moved to New Mexico. That teacup, by the way, serves as a table where patrons can sit and enjoy their meal al fresco.
The space is also home to many other characters like a giant Disney ant and cats, hand-painted mural reproductions, and even a mini carousel currently being renovated on-site.
Apart from its attractions, Wrap & Roll is also a restaurant that serves fresh, made from scratch charbroiled burgers and its buns, hot dogs, chili fries, sundaes, and rootbeer floats.
There is so much to see and do at Wrap and Roll, and coming up this summer, the team is preparing to unveil a freakshow featuring vintage carnival classic geeks and freaks.
This weekend, have an adventure at one of El Paso's best-hidden secrets, Wrap and Roll, the only carnival-themed diner and attraction in town. Plus, keep an eye and ear out for anything unusual because this place is notoriously haunted, but that's a story for another day.
