The El Paso Zoo will kick off a huge Party for the Planet this weekend featuring interactive games, special animal programs and activities for kids and families.

Party for the Planet is an annual celebration and a great opportunity for families to discover how they can help protect and enjoy our planet while celebrating with our community and the Zoo’s animals.

The celebration is also part of the Association of Zoos and Aquarium’s signature Earth Day event and the largest combined Earth Day celebration in North America. It is also part of the City of El Paso’s month-long “Earth Day Every Day” celebration.

The fun-filled event will feature many activities including discovery stations, arts and crafts, including a Safari-rama game show.

The Safari-rama game show will take place on Saturday and Sunday at 2:30 p.m., and space is limited to 35 participants each day. Participants can also sign up to help Elephant Keepers hide special treats in Savannah and Juno’s exhibit for just $5.
