The El Paso Space Festival is a week-long series of events that are designed to celebrate space exploration and get your kids interested in space. This weekend your kids will be able to build launch their very own model rocket.

On Saturday, September 28th the Space Festival will kick off with a massive model rocket launch. Your $5.00 ticket covers the cost of your model rocket. You can pick up your rocket pieces before the event so you can put it together before the festival. If your kids are part of a STEM club, hobby group, or other rocketeer groups you can bring your own rocket with prior authorization.
If you like RC planes and vehicle demos, those will be part of the El Paso Space Festival as well. There will also be food and prize giveaways.

To Register Your Rocket:
1) Buy a ticket for your launch window
2) Pickup your model rocket kit from the address below
3) Assemble your rocket with your club, family or friends
4) Get to the festival at least 30 minutes before your launch window
5) Get ready to launch your rocket

Festival officials say that they "highly recommend picking up your rocket at least 2 days prior to the event to have enough time for assembly." Your rocket engine needs to be installed or provided at the launch site.

Pick up your rocket at the Scout Shop at Yucca Council, 7601 Lockheed Dr., Wednesday and Thursday, 10:00 a.m - 6:00 p.m. You can pick up on Friday at 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., and Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
