On this day, the City joined communities across the country to honor and recognize children with a tradition that began in El Paso 24 years ago, largely through the efforts of El Paso children’s author Pat Mora.
As part of the celebration, the El Paso Public Library along with the Parks and Recreation Department partnered up with the Children’s Kingdom to distribute books as part of its meal distribution system.
Families are encouraged to log on and participate from home and enjoy some family time together as the El Paso Public Library brings the celebration home for El Paso residents during Dia de los Niños, Dia de los Libros.
