El Paso Opera To Entertain At Fountains At Farah Dec. 23

I have to say, it is really something that a city like El Paso has something like the El Paso Opera. There are large cities in our country who cannot sustain an opera company but little old, dusty, red-headed stepchild of Texas, El Paso has an outstanding opera company and you'll be able to see them for free this month.

If you think the opera is stuffy you really need to head to the Fountains at Farah and check out the El Paso Opera the day before Christmas Eve. I would imagine that they are going to sing Christmas music given the fact that we are in the middle of the holiday season but I could be wrong. They might sing the Beach Boys greatest hits and if they did, I would still urge you to go see and hear them.

KIDS NEED TO SEE AND HEAR THIS
I am that mom and grandmother who plays opera in my car when my beasties are with me. When my boys were little they would cover their ears and beg me to turn anything else on but now that they are grown ups they often listen to opera. My granddaughters know that if they get in my car they will, at some point, have to listen to opera. They give me grief about it but I know when they are older they will at least have some working knowledge of the beauty of the genre. Take your kiddos and get in the spirit at the Fountains.
