El Paso Homeless Center Needs Help After Covid-19 Causes Shortage
In some way or another, some of us try to help out different organizations in El Paso, Texas. There are all sorts of ways to help out a good cause in the borderland. Whether you give money, your time, or donations, every little bit helps.
When I lived closer to the Opportunity Center for the Homeless I would always donate a bunch of clothes and electronic items I didn't use anymore. But since the pandemic never really stopped it sure has put a stop to vital duties that aren't able to get done.
Now a lot of us know people need to eat and shouldn't go to bed hungry. Well, the Opportunity Center for the Homeless is struggling in the kitchen department due to the ongoing pandemic.
A majority of their kitchen staff are out sick due to having Covid-19 so the homeless center needs your assistance. They need help providing meals that are ready to be served by their staff to the visitors they have.
But it's true when they say not all heroes wear capes and Blake Batrow is proof of it. He is the director at the Rescue Mission of El Paso and the creator of Hallelujah BBQ.
Blake Batrow donated a generous amount of food to help feed guests at the Opportunity Center for the Homeless. If you or someone you know can lend a helping hand please call John or Aracely at (915) 577-0069, ext. 272 and 239. Hopefully, the community can come together and make something happen so no one goes to bed hungry.
