I have a dream that one day I won't kill the roses bushes I buy every year. I have always loved plants as much as I love as cats, yet, I can only keep my cats alive.

My mom gifted me a plant as a housewarming gift and surprisingly, I have kept it alive for over a year. Which is a huge accomplishment for me.

Luckily, I have stumbled upon some local gardening groups that make me feel confident about owning plants.

Many people took to gardening during the quarantine such as building flower gardens or growing their own food. Did many people stick to this new hobby? Maybe not, but it never hurts to start something new.

For those who might be like me and are still attempting to keep their quarantine plants alive, you might want to check out these local online groups for gardening tips and possible plant hookups.

El Paso Master Gardens are well known around the community and they are staying busy on social media with their online events.

Food Gardeners of El Paso is a safe online space for locals to discuss techniques on growing their own food. I was scrolling through and admiring so many amazing people who are proudly showing off the fruits and vegetables of their labor. I can only dreams of having such skills.

Color the Desert with Lani Yu-Richardson is a public group that quickly sucked me into scrolling through all their posts. I stumbled upon a whole discussion on wisteria, which I always wanted!

If you are part of any other local gardening groups, please feel free to share them with us through our free 93.1 KISSFM app.
