El Paso County Debuts ‘Parks After Sunset’ Free Movie Series

El Paso County Parks is rolling out a new movie series for the summer of 2017.

It's called Parks After Sunset and, like its predecessor, Movies by the Lake, it will feature family friendly movies screened outdoors on an inflatable screen.

Unlike Movies by the Lake, which was exclusive to Ascarate Park, Parks After Sunset will spread the movie series among several county parks.

Between May 19 and August 18, eight different movies will be screened at 4 different parks. Each event will include themed family friendly activities based on the movie, and several food trucks on site.

Outdoor movie enthusiasts are more than welcome to bring picnic baskets, coolers, blankets and lawn chairs. Alcohol and tobacco products, however, on not permitted.

Event activities will start about 90 minutes before showtime and the movie just after sunset.
