We hope it was fun while it lasted.

Former El Pasoan Alex Brusiloff has reportedly already been eliminated as one of Clare Crawley’s potential suitors on the ABC show "The Bachelorette." In fact, Clare herself is no longer on the show, but let’s put a pin on that plot twist for now. Back to Brusiloff’s brief attempt at finding his forever love on a reality show.

As I previously reported on our corner of the internet, Alex was among the batch of 42 guys the network revealed in a social media post on July 15 as possible contestants. But according to E! News, Brusiloff never made it to a rose ceremony as the former Coronado High School graduate was reportedly sent packing before filming even began.

Less than a week later, on July 21, he posted a photo on his Instagram of himself with his two dogs and the caption, “at least these two won’t ghost me.” Per E!, contestants are supposed to stay off social media while they are on the show, so him making his account public again practically confirmed his swift elimination from the show.

COVID or Criminal History

There was a rumor – started by Alex, no less – that he was cut because he tested positive for COVID, but he later uploaded a video retracting that. He didn’t offer an explanation, saying instead, “you figure out why I got sent home.”

Was it maybe because of some alleged past run-ins with the law?

The Instagram fan account Bachelor Nation Spoilers claims he’s had a few, posting 4 mug shots that appear to date back a few years. The account doesn't detail what the arrests were for.

Either way, Alex is back in Dallas where he currently lives, presumably doing whatever insurance brokers do.

‘Bachelorette’ Clare Has Been Replaced

Now, about Clare no longer being the new “Bachelorette.” So, check this out: word is she’s been replaced because she already fell in love with one of the contestants.

“People” says she and THIS GUY hit it off before the cameras even started rolling and that mid-way through the filming Clare decided she didn't need to keep going.

Producers brought in Tayshia Adams, who was on Season 23 of "The Bachelor.” The magazine reports the upcoming season will start with Clare and show what happens with her, before bringing in Tayshia as her replacement. "People" thinks some of the guys Clare eliminated might even be brought back.

Hmmm. Maybe Alex’s time on the show isn’t up.
