Hacienda Apodaca (formerly an Airbnb) is home to an art gallery, venue hall, coffee shop, and El Charlatan, who has been cooking up culinary magic since late October when it opened its doors to raving word-of-mouth reviews.

Led by owner and Executive Chef Enrique Lozano and his excellent staff, El Charlatan offers an enticing yet unpretentious menu made entirely with fresh quality ingredients.

Foodies will find plenty of selections from tacos, ramen, aguachiles, carnilleras (short-ribs), bao's, and so much more, including a ridiculously tantalizing Gansito inspired dessert.

El Charlatan's Mexican and avant-garde Asian theme is also evident in its decor that features faux cherry blossoms, sunflowers, paper lanterns, sarapes, and rustic furniture.

Patrons will also find its walls covered in luchador art by local artist Adrian Correa and an impressive bathroom that includes a full-size tub that was part of the adobe home's original design.

Don't let the name mislead you; El Charlatan is not just another border town restaurant but a one-of-a-kind dining destination that's fusing traditional and exotic flavors while elevating the art of dining out.

From its impeccable hospitality, chill vibes to its innovative cuisine and on-point presentation, El Charlatan was hands down an exciting culinary ride that pushed my tastebuds and senses to euphoric levels.
