Eastwood High School Gym Makes ‘Best Gym in Texas’ Semifinals

The new state of the art gymnasium at Eastwood High School is 2 rounds away from being named "Best Gym in Texas," and you have a say in it.

Because the winner is determined solely through online voting, El Pasoans can make it happen for the Ysleta Independent School District facility with a simple click of the mouse. More on that below.

The tournament-style online contest is being put on by TXHSGBB, a website showcasing girls’ basketball across the Lone Star State. According to the site, El Pasoans have been shattering voting records to get Eastwood into the semifinals, among them Total Votes Counted and Total Votes For.

That’s not an exaggeration, either. In Round 1, Eastwood received 91% of the votes. In rounds two and three and four, it collected 66%, 78%, and 63% of the votes.
