YISD, SISD to Hold In-Person Graduation Ceremonies in June
With vaccinations and vaccination efforts in El Paso County on the rise, both the Ysleta Independent School District and the Socorro Independent School District are planning in-person commencements.
Graduations for all eight SISD high schools will take place at the Student Activities Complex with ceremonies taking place daily over a five-day period, while Ysleta ISD is letting each high school host its graduation ceremony outdoors in its respective stadium.
The modified graduations will permit spectators, but neither district is following the lead of the El Paso Independent School District and allowing unlimited capacity.
Both YISD and SISD will limit the number of guests each graduate is allowed to bring, although neither has announced what that number will be as of this posting. Safety measures, such as requiring face masks and social distancing, will be in place.

June 15:
