Easter Egg Hunt Fun in the Mountains of New Mexico is a Day-Trip Drive from El Paso
Families looking for a change of scenery Easter weekend can make a day trip out of it and head to the mountains of New Mexico.
Nichols Ranch and Orchards offers El Paso-area families the opportunity to hit the road and celebrate the holiday in the picturesque Sacramento Mountains outside of La Luz, New Mexico, about 20 minutes from Alamogordo.
The family-run farm will be hosting its inaugural Easter & Spring Celebration on Saturday, April 8, and if you've ever been to their Apple or Cherry Festival than you know how much fun a day on the farm can be.
Easter Egg Hunt and Other Activities for the Kids
Peter Cottontail will be hopping down the mountain trail and he’s bringing candy-filled eggs which he intends to hide around the farm for a huge Easter egg hunt.
Runyan Ranches is bringing its petting zoo with all the friendly animals the kids can feed, pet, and take pictures of. Carnival-type games and other kid's activities will also be part of the spring fun.
Vendors & Entertainment
Food trucks, 40+ craft and food vendors from all over New Mexico selling a variety of goods and goodies, and live music entertainment will be part of the day-long celebration, too.
