If you want to put your child into a pre-K program, the Ysleta Independent School District wants to talk to you. The district is offering all El Paso kids the chance at being in their 2016-2017 Pre-K for All program.

Parkland and Ysleta Pre-K centers, Cedar Grove, Constance Hulbert, East Point, Eastwood Heights, Edgemere, Glen Cove, LeBarron, Loma Terrace, Pasodale, Pebble Hills, Sageland, Scotsdale, and Tierra Del Sol elementary schools will be participating in the program.

If you want to enroll your kids, registration begins tomorrow (April 8) with registration packets available at participating campuses.

Early registration is April 25 – 29. You will be put on a waiting list until August. Regular pre-K registration happens in May and runs through July. Families who register then will also be put on the waiting list. Students who are chosen from the waiting list will be notified between August 8 – 12. The first day of classes is August 22.

If you are interested, make sure you register your child as soon as possible because there are only a limited number of slots available.

Your child has to be with you when you register, and has to be 4 years old by Sept. 1. You’ll need to take your child’s Social Security card, immunization record, and birth certificate, as well as your photo I.D. and your current month’s utility bill (gas, water, or electric only), or a home contract or lease.
