Celebrate America's Independence Day tonight at Cleveland Square in downtown El Paso beginning at 7 p.m.

The Parks and Recreation Department invites the community to join in on the celebration this weekend at Cleveland Square for a free concert, performers, and much more.

The Independence Day Outdoor Concert was initially scheduled at Memorial Park; however, due to the relentless rainfall all week, the location had to be changed because of the current nuddy conditions at the park.

No worries because the 4th of July outdoor celebration has been relocated to downtown El Paso at Cleveland Square.  The rains last week cooled our city down dramatically, and although it's pretty humid these days, the cool evenings are perfect for outdoor chill events.

The free concert will feature live music and entertainment from various performers, including The Dream Merchants Band.

The family-friendly celebration concert is open to all ages, and attendees are encouraged to arrive early and bring their lawn chairs and blankets.  You can also pack an evening picnic to nosh on while you take in the celebration sights and sounds.

After skipping the 4th of July celebrations last year because of the COVID-19 pandemic, it's nice to see events such as these bring our community together.

Speaking of the ongoing pandemic, attendees are encouraged to follow COVID-19 health and safety protocols, including wearing face coverings and practicing physical distancing.
