Downtown Art & Farmers Market Hosts Pop Up In East El Paso Friday
East El Paso, get ready; the Downtown Arts & Farmers Market is heading to Beast Urban Park today.
The City of El Paso will be hosting its first-ever Downtown Art and Farmers Market, in partnership with District 5 City Representative Isabel Salcido, today, Friday, August 19, at Beast Urban Park in East El Paso.
While there are many farmers' markets around town, mostly in west El Paso, Eastsiders will get a head start on their weekend as the Downtown Art & Farmers Market opens at 5 p.m.
According to Salcido, the free market will take the longtime tradition from downtown to the east side of town, the first of many popups across the city.
The Family Fest and Farmers Market will feature plenty of fun and activities, including over 70 vendors, food trucks, a kid's zone, a balloon animal artist, a photo booth, and more.
Besides enjoying the farmers market, visitors can also take a dip at the Recreation Center at Beast Urban Park. Visitors are encouraged to bring their swimming gear for free recreational swimming inside the Natatorium from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Also, a friendly reminder, the weekend Art and Farmers Market in Downtown El Paso will not take place on Saturday, August 20; instead, it will return to its regular schedule and location on Saturday, August 27, at the Union Plaza District on San Antonio and Anthony Streets from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
