Down Syndrome Coalition For El Paso To Hold Easter Eggstravaganza
The Down Syndrome Coalition for El Paso is an organization that provides support and education to families who have children with Down Syndrome. They say their ultimate goal is to "realize the complete acceptance and inclusion of individuals with Down syndrome into all aspects of family and community life." The Coalition seeks to empower individuals with Down syndrome, provide education, support and resources, and offer their resources to other special needs groups.
I spoke with Nancy Castaneda, an official with the Down Syndrome Coalition for El Paso about their Spring Eggstravaganza. The event will be held April 13 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at 1851 N. Resler. The Spring Eggstravaganza will feature a visit with the Easter Bunny and an egg hunt for the kiddos that starts at 2:00 p.m. There will booths with different activities so the kids can have fun between visits with the Easter Bunny and the egg hunt, which gets rolling (see what I did there) at 2:00 p.m. No party would be complete without food and prize giveaways, and you'll find all that at the Eggstravaganza as well.
There will be shade under the trees and an inside area for food, as well as an outdoor seating area. You can bring umbrellas if you would like if you want more shade. For more information, you can click on the Down Syndrome Coalition For El Paso Facebook page.
