Convair Rd By The Airport Will Temporarily Close

A portion of Convair Rd is set to close temporarily to allow for road improvements beginning on Monday, September 9, 2019.

Beginning on Monday, September 9^th a portion of Convair Rd. by the El Paso International Airport will close to allow for road construction.

The road work is part of the Terminal Landscape and Architectural Lighting project which will improve the visual image of the City of El Paso and is part of the Airport’s Capital Improvement Plan originally approved back in 2016.

The closure begins on Monday through Tuesday, September 10, 2019, and then it will close once again on Monday and Tuesday, September 16 and 17, 2019.

Drivers are to follow detours and signage throughout the closures and are encouraged to allow for extra time as the area may become congested. Travelers and the public alike may also consider parking in the short-term lot if picking up arriving passengers. The closure schedule may be modified to allow for unforeseen events or weather conditions.
