Community Cafe and Shop Opens In Downtown El Paso
Plateaux is a Community Cafe in downtown El Paso that will accommodate artists, musicians, business people and other community organizers as a coffee shop and retail space.
The shop will also provide a space for small events, workshops, presentations, fundraisers, and will support locally-made, 100 % quality products from locally-made pastries and breads to locally-roasted coffee, local art, music, literature, gifts including a forum for local artisans to display and sell their creations.
Plateaux was founded by Hector Saenz, prior owner/chef of Hello Day Café (next door to Tricky Falls), and Juan Ferret, director & founder of the Philosophic Systems Institute (PSI).
In order to develop the space in this previously vacant building, Plateaux is being partially funded through a crowdfund campaign. They are currently offering sponsor rewards including T-Shirts, Coffee Mugs, Artwork, Private Chef and an all-inclusive event in the new locale.
The crowdfund campaign ends on November 4th and they are hoping that those interested will chip in and help them raise their goal of $13,900.
