Join The 'Coming Home' Pop-up Dinner At Taconeta

Alright, show of hands: Who is ready for a flavor fiesta like no other?! If you raised your hand then you are in luck because everyone’s favorite local Taco spot, Taconeta, is having a kitchen takeover pop-up featuring the one and only Chef Michael Diaz de Leon, aka @michaeldleon.

We're talking cumbias, bebidas, and botanas that will transport you straight to the heart of Mexico and it’s all happening on Sunday, January 14th, from 4 pm - 9 pm.

Food lovers are invited to this “Coming Home”pop-up dinner event. No reservations are needed but keep in mind that it is first come first serve. There will be plenty seating room, a bar, and standing room as well.

The cost to enter this pop-up event is free and prices on food and drinks will vary but trust me when I say it will all be worth it!

Chef Michael is no stranger to the cooking world. He is A first-generation Mexican-American from El Paso, Texas, and he embodies the rich cultural fusion of the borderlands.

Having cut his teeth as the opening CDC for Taft Diaz in El Paso, he later took his talents to the foodie world of Denver, Colorado. (Go Broncos!)

Chef Michael Diaz de Leon has won numerous awards for his amazing cooking skills including the San Pellegrino Starchefs Game Changer Award in 2022 and he was a James Beard Foundation Finalist in 2023.

Chef Michael is hoping to create experiences for food lovers by redefining the dining experience, blending food and wine in perfect harmony and this pop-up dinner is one of the many ways he hopes to do that.
