If you have a free moment this Easter weekend and you just want to sit back and enjoy a really good movie, check out A Beautiful Mind for free at the International Museum of Art.

The movie stars Russell Crowe as John Forbes Nash Jr., a brilliant mathematician whose career was almost cut short by mental illness. The beginning of the movie is Nash meeting the woman who would be his wife played by Jennifer Connelly. Soon after they get married, Nash begins working for a shadowy government agency. His wife has a child, but when it becomes obvious that Nash has been hallucinating his government overseers and the work he has been doing, she tries to leave him.

The film can be harrowing. There is a horrible moment when Nash is subjected to electroshock therapy. It is really heartbreaking.

Ultimately, after many years of struggling with his illness and learning to live with it, even when the hallucinations continue, he rebuilds his life and reputation. Nash and his wife stayed together and he was even awarded the Nobel Prize for his work in mathematics.

The movie is free and the Museum has fantastically priced concessions so you can take your honey and probably only spend about $20 for the whole afternoon. Make sure you check out the rest of the museum after the movie. It's gorgeous and will take your breath away.
