Central And Downtown El Paso The Scene Of Three Accidents By A Hit And Run Driver

There were some scary moments for drivers and pedestrians in Central and Downtown El Paso after a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle that ended in a car chase and crash.

The El Paso Police Department said the initial reports were of a pedestrian who was hit at the intersection of Schuster and Prospect near UTEP around 1 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Police said that UTEP police were also working a possible third scene related to the incident.

The suspect vehicle left the scene of the crash and law enforcement pursued the vehicle toward Downtown where it was eventually involved in a crash at the intersection of Paisano and Kansas. The person who was driving the vehicle was reportedly taken into custody after a chase that ultimately ended in downtown El Paso.
