Casa Jurado off Doniphan Set To Close Labor Day Weekend

Casa Jurado in West El Paso is set to close on Sunday, September 3, 2017.

After 45 years of serving El Paso, Casa Jurado will be closing its doors come Sunday, September 3, 2017.

We made a call to Casa Jurado to confirm if the rumor was true and the lovely cashier at the other end of the line, Justini Anchondo did confirm that indeed the restaurant was set to close their doors. When asked why they were closing Anchondo said, "Business was slow after the construction began on Doniphan and new business’ were also popping up and less people were coming in, so they decided it was time to close."

If you never had a chance to eat at Casa Jurado you are missing out on some delicious Mexican food including my ultimate favorite Enchiladas De Calabacitas, which were stuffed with Mexican squash slathered with cheese and green sauce. Just thinking about them will prompt me to go back one last time before they close for good.
